After three attempts this summer to give a concert in Pickering the sun shone all afternoon, in fact one band member had to don a cap to avoid melting.
A good crowd applauded our efforts enthusiastically as we performed items from our summer program. The band played in a positive and consistent style showing just what can be done with a little effort by a small group.
This was the first concert Jess Eddon and Jacob Konya were on the front line cornets. It was also the first time for a few years we have managed to play without any help from other bands.
A good afternoon’s work – well done everybody!
