CANCER RESEARCH CONCERT

Post date: Dec 23, 2014 1:32:03 PM

The annual Christmas Concert for Yorkshire Cancer Research attracted a larger audience than we've seen for a few years to Pickering church. The first half of the program contained music which we have performed in our summer concerts, with christmas items old & new in the second half. The juniors were featured during the afternoon playing a selection of carols, along with some of their favourite pieces. Christmas songs were performed by an enthusiastic Allerston Aloud community choir led by Janet Magee. The Fields trophy for most improved junior player was awarded to Stephanie Henson. Kirsty Brown received the W.J.Robinson trophy as the most improved player in the senior band, & the Millenium trophy was presented to Matt Neal for his work updating the website.
The sum of £550 was raised for Yorkshire Cancer Research.
Thank you for you support.
