CANCER RESEARCH CONCERT

We held our annual Christmas concert in aid of Yorkshire Cancer Research in St Peter & St Paul's Church Pickering on 20th December. Our guest artist on this occasion was Adam Collier who entertained us all with Yorkshire dialect stories.
The Annual Awards were given to Charlotte Simpson (most improved junior), Graham Dadswell (most improved player in the senior band) & to Helen Eddon (for work behind the scenes). This year an extra trophy was awarded. The players 'Player Of The Year Trophy', decided by a ballot of band members was awarded to Lauren Breckon.
We were also pleased to award a Long Service Certificate to Helen Bointon, who escaped the 25 year award, & some years ago came back to play with the band.
A Certificate of Life Membership was awarded to Chris Bramley our former Vice Chairman who has been a very active non-playing member of the band for over 30 years.
The amount of £422 was given to Yorkshire Cancer Research.
